Spa Bathrobes – Halfway Between Dressed and Not Dressed

Spa bathrobes are popular and are used so often because they are a unique item of clothing that fills in the gap between ‘dressed’ and ‘not dressed’.  There are many situations in life where you would feel a little bit strange wearing your pajamas but you don’t want to get fully dressed. Spa bathrobes are the perfect in-between option for these moments because they are more formal than pajamas but they are less work than actually getting dressed.

Examples of These Halfway Situations

What sorts of situations warrant this look that is halfway between getting dressed and wearing sleepwear? One example is when you quickly leave the house to perform a chore outside, such as taking out the recycling bin, picking up the mail or heading to the laundry room of your apartment complex. Although you are visible to the outside world, you are still within a very short distance to your home and therefore this situation is considered semi-private. You would look very strange doing this in your underwear or in your sleepwear, but wearing a bathrobe makes it more acceptable.
Another situation is when a guest surprises you unannounced and you don’t have time to dress before opening the door. Wearing spa bathrobes is acceptable in this situation and protects your modesty. You can welcome your guest into your home, make them a drink and then excuse yourself to go get dressed. Neither you nor your guest will be embarrassed by the spa bathrobes, but both of you would likely be if you answered the door in your sleepwear or in your underwear.
Sometimes, depending on how well you know the other members of your household, eating breakfast can be another one of these in-between situations that spa bathrobes are perfect for. This makes things convenient when you just want to eat before getting ready.
What halfway situations do you wear your spa bathrobes for?

School Bans Parents for Dropping off Kids in PJs and Terry Bathrobes

Terry bathrobes are so comfortable and cuddly that it can be tempting to want to wear them all day. However, parents in several schools have been banned from wearing pyjamas and Terry Bathrobes on the morning school run to drop off their kids.

At St. Matthew’s Primary in Belfast, Ireland a notice was sent home to parents asking them to follow the school’s dress code and avoid dropping their children off in the morning while wearing terry bathrobes, pajamas and slippers. Other schools in the UK and the USA have been reported to follow this trend, requesting that parents wear proper attire or their children will need to find an alternate way home. According to a survey by Vauxhall cars, five percent of parents have admitted to driving their children to school while clad in their nightwear.

The issue has sparked quite a lot of debate online. On the one hand, many parents are claiming that it doesn’t really matter what they wear as long as they drop their kids off on time. They don’t even get out of the car most of the time, so why can’t they do the morning drop-off while wearing terry bathrobes?

On the other hand, others have argued in online discussions on the topic that parents should show a basic respect for the school by having the decency to get dressed. It only takes two minutes in the morning to put on some jeans and a t-shirt and showing up in pajamas can be embarrassing to children. Many have stated that wearing terry bathrobes outside of the house is incredibly tacky and should never be done.

What do you think? Have you ever dropped off your children while wearing pajamas and Terry Bathrobes? What does your child’s school think about it? Let us know in the comments.

Bring Your Monogrammed Bathrobes to the Beach

If you want to make the most out of your trip to the beach and be able to relax in ultimate comfort, why not bring your Monogrammed Bathrobes with you? Your robe is actually quite a practical item of clothing for the beach.

One of the most inconvenient parts of spending a day at the beach swimming is that afterwards you will be stuck wearing a wet bathing suit and might not always have somewhere convenient to change. Some beaches have changing rooms where you can put your dry underwear and clothes back on, but others do not (especially when you are swimming at a lake or an out-of-the-way beach).

If you try to dry off and then put your clothes back on overtop of your wet swimsuit, you will have embarrassing wet patches and will be damp and uncomfortable. Instead, why not slip on monogrammed bathrobes to help you dry off faster and stay comfortable on the drive home? You will also avoid getting your car seats damp from your wet swimsuit.

Sometimes the weather can be unpredictable during a trip to the beach and a cold breeze can come rushing in from the ocean or across the lake. When you are bundled up in your robe you will be able to stay warm and comfortable. If you just want to get out of the water for a short break to have a drink and a snack and then go back for another swim, the robe will keep you warm and cozy and will not fall off like a towel would. You can even choose robes with hoods so that they will help to dry your hair while you are wearing them.
Your Monogrammed Bathrobes will help you to have the most comfortable and enjoyable trip to the beach possible!

Why You Need Two Spa Robes – One for Each Season

Spa robes are wonderful to have and they are really quite luxurious and elegant items of clothing. They are great for covering up while you lounge around the house, drying off after the shower or even taking with you on vacation to relax at the resort.

If you really want to get the most out of your Spa Robes, you should have at least two of them. Not two identical ones, but two different spa robes. One should be a light weight robe that is suitable for summertime and the other should be a very thick and warm robe that you wear during winter.

The reason for this is that winter spa robes are not comfortable in the summer and vice versa. Winter spa robes are made from extremely thick and fuzzy 100% cotton terry and are very warm. When you wear them in the winter they will keep you feeling cozy during the chilly mornings and snowy evenings. However, if you were to wear these bathrobes in the heat of summer they would leave you feeling sweaty and smothered. You wouldn’t wear your winter jacket in July, so why wear winter spa robes?

Luckily, there are many different styles of lightweight cotton spa robes that will be much more comfortable in the summer months. For example, pique fabric robes are still quite soft and absorbent but they are not as thick. You could also look for lightweight velour robes which aren’t nearly as blanket-like as their winter cousins. These bathrobes might leave you feeling a bit chilly in the winter, but they are ideal for wearing on a hot summer’s day after a shower or a dip in the pool.

For the ultimate comfort all year round, it is certainly worth investing in two Spa Robes for both summer and winter.
